How often do we take the time to think about the magnificence and importance of trees?

We are excited to announce that Achmelvich writer Mandy Haggith of UHI will be bringing her successful Words in the Woods workshop home to Assynt and Coigach! Mandy is an award winning poet, writer and environmental activist who now teaches creative writing at University of Highlands and Islands and will be leading this workshop, funded by Scottish Forestry and facilitated by CALL.

This is a chance to explore what trees and woodlands mean to you. Before the workshop you are invited to have an encounter with a tree and bring something along to the session to represent that interaction.

Feedback from this and other workshops will be fed into informing national policy and Mandy’s own research.
