It’s 28’C here and anyone with any sense is on the beach! Continuing the seaside theme, I’m hoping for a similarly lovely day on Wednesday 13th August, when I’ll be helping local artist Frances Fogg and wonderful storyteller Jess Smith with a morning on the beach at Old Dornie in Coigach.  See the poster below for details – we’re hoping people will come along at 10am, we’ll spend a wee while cleaning the beach of litter and then we’ll use what we’ve found to make sculptures and other arty things, accompanied by a wealth of stories about the sea and shore. It should be a really enjoyable morning, and it’s family-friendly and FREE! thanks to the Highland Seashore Survey. In the afternoon Wester Ross ranger Reuben Brown is leading a Rockpool Rummage, so why not make a day of it and bring a picnic or get lunch from one of the local outlets? Hope to see you there! Viv
