what now?

You might be wondering what we do next, now HLF has granted us £3million?  Well, it’s a lot of money so obviously we need to spell out how we’re going to make best use of it.  We now enter a Development Phase, which lasts for 18 months.  During that time, we’ll be taking on  a Development Manager and Assistant.  These posts will be advertised in the new year. They will have the big task of describing in detail all of the projects we’ll be carrying out, and making sure these are carefully costed.  We also need to find a large chunk of match-funding.  They’ll work with the 12 partners and CALL staff to get this important stage completed.  Then we submit this information as ‘Stage 2’ to HLF.  If everything is in order, they we can get to work!  So, recruiting further staff and beginning to carry out work on the ground can’t start until mid 2015.  That seems ages away, but we need that time to make sure we’ve got everything set up properly to take us through the next 5 years.  And its amazing how the time flies past, isn’t it? It can’t really be less that 6 weeks till Christmas, can it?!  Viv
