Well, we are hurtling towards the deadline for submission, and it’s taking up almost all of my work time (and a fair bit of middle-of-the-night- worry time!). Romany though has planned and co-ordinated a great series of events later in May, to celebrate Biodiversity in the CALL area. Events for Biodiversity week in May
20 Trees and Folklore Woodland Walk around Quinag with John Muir Trust. Bring good footwear. Meet at lay-by on A894 above river at Torr a’ Ghamna, grid ref. 214323. 10am-3pm. 22 Identifying Trees on one of the few all-abilities paths in the north. Meet at Leitir Easaidh carpark on A837 near Lochinver 11am-1pm. 24 Guided walk on a croft looking at ancient Atlantic oak. Meet at Polchapel, Culkein, Drumbeg. Sorry no dogs as sheep lambing. 11am-1pm. Craft shop available. 27 A look at woodland regeneration on the Assynt Foundation Estate. Meet at Inchnadamph carpark. 11am-4pm. 28 A walk looking at wildlife around Glencanisp. Meet at Assynt Visitor Centre,Lochinver. 11am-3pm. Adults £5, Concession £3.
